Meeting Rooms

Meeting Rooms are available at Carlton, Collingwood, East Melbourne, Fitzroy, North Melbourne and Richmond libraries.

Charges (per three hour session):

Commercial User - $55.00
Community $7.70
A/V service charge (when applicable): $11.00
Security deposit (all users) $77.00

Carlton Library

Carlton Library meeting room seats 60 people with disabled access, toilets with disabled access and whiteboard available. Access to the kitchenette and audiovisual equipment is available on request. The meeting room is available in and out of library hours.

Collingwood Library

The Community/Meeting Room (with urn and sink), attached to the Collingwood Library, is available for use by community groups. The room seats up to 60 people.

East Melbourne Library and Community Centre

The room seats 70 people and several tables are available. Includes lectern, PA system, whiteboard, data projection and television with DVD and VHS video player. Access to kitchenette with fridge, urn, cups and saucers, dishwashing facilities. Disabled access and toilets.

Fitzroy Library

Both meeting rooms have disabled access, toilets with disabled access and an electronic whiteboard available on request. Access to kitchen available on request in and out of library hours.

Until further notice the meeting rooms at Fitzroy are only available during library hours. (Due to the courtyard redevelopment)

Meeting Room 1 - Seats 40 people

Meeting Room 2 - Seats 10 people

North Melbourne Library

Meeting Room 1

Seats up to 54 people. Includes whiteboard, lectern, PA system. Access by stairs or lift. Toilets with disabled access.

Meeting Room 2

Only available outside Library opening hours. Seats up to 12 people. Includes whiteboard.

Richmond Library

The Meeting Room holds up to 60 people, however only limited seating is available. Ideal for small meetings. Other AV equipment is available at Richmond Library.

Booking Guidelines

To make a booking contact the individual library

Notification is required for all cancellations

For meetings held outside library opening hours, a representative of your group must visit the library prior to the meeting to collect the keys and receive information about opening and closing procedures.

A security deposit must be paid and will be forfeited if:

Payment will be required for any breakage or loss of library property

If using the kitchen, you must supply your own tea, towels, coffee and milk.

Facilities must be left in a clean and orderly state, tables and chairs must be returned to their original places.

Premises are designated NO SMOKING areas

These premises are for hire for meetings, seminars or community events and not for private parties.
